    NKU breaks ground on new tennis complex

    Northern Kentucky University hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 10, marking the beginning of the construction of the new NKU Tennis Complex. The complex will feature six new tennis courts and serve as the home of NKU’s tennis programs.

    NKU’s Haile College of Business graduate programs climb in U.S. News 2026 rankings

    Northern Kentucky University’s Haile College of Business continues to climb national rankings by earning multiple recognitions among the top 100 universities across U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 report. Most notably, NKU’s online MBA program climbed 29 positions since 2025 and is now ranked 93rd in the nation.

    NKU earns inaugural SACSCOC Torch Award for affordability

    Northern Kentucky University has been recognized by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) with a Torch Award for Affordability, an honor that recognizes institutions that demonstrate leadership in managing educational costs and expanding access for students.

    NKU announces outstanding Norse graduates and faculty as 2026 alumni award winners

    Northern Kentucky University is recognizing five distinguished alumni and faculty with the annual Alumni Awards dinner and celebration on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026. The university is honoring Gary Holland, Greg Edwards, Shannan Boyer, Kevin Donnelly and Ken Jones for their outstanding achievements and distinguished service to the Northern Kentucky and Norse communities.

    NKU earns 2026 community engagement classification from Carnegie Foundation

    Northern Kentucky University has received the 2026 Carnegie Community Engagement (CE) Classification, highlighting the university’s continued commitment to community engagement. NKU joins the 2026 cohort as one of more than 230 universities nationwide to receive the designation. This recognition marks NKU’s third CE Classification; the university received its first in 2006 under President James Votruba.
