First Year Learning Communities

The Honors College approach to Learning Communities is novel and attempts to link the classroom experience to local and regional needs.  Each Learning Community includes a collaboration between the Honors College, an Academic Department or Program on campus, and a community partner.  In some cases, students in a Learning Community will be enrolled in multiple classes together, so that they will have the opportunity to form study groups and bond as a group of student scholar colleagues. The Honors College designs our Learning Communities based on the feedback and requests of current and former students.
