We invite submissions on all areas/topics (disciplinary and inter-disciplinary) related to cybersecurity in the following three (3) categories:
- Short Papers
- Full Papers
- Posters
Given this year’s conference theme, we welcome submissions featuring findings demonstrably beneficial in enhancing the application of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, particularly those addressing insights gleaned from practical implementations.
All submissions for KCFC 2024 will have to be made through the EquinOCS online portal, which is a Springer Nature submission system. The weblink to the KCFC 2024 online submission portal is https://equinocs.springernature.com/service/kcfc2024.
Note: First-time users of the EquinOCS submission system will need to register before they can use the EquinOCS portal for making online submissions.
- All papers need to be submitted using the KCFC EquinOCS portal: https://equinocs.springernature.com/service/kcfc2024

- No author info should be included within the paper manuscript submitted for review, as the submitted paper is supposed to be anonymous for single-blind peer review process
- Papers submitted for review need to follow the Springer CS conference author instructions as specified in the following Atlantis Press website: https://www.atlantis-press.com/policies

- Please keep in mind that accepted papers will be published by Atlantis Press (part of Springer Nature) in the KCFC conference proceedings as an open-access peer-reviewed article. For an accepted paper to be published, at least one of the authors must commit to presenting the paper at the KCFC conference event. Also, the author(s) of an accepted paper will be required to submit a final, camera-ready version of the reviewed paper for inclusion/publication in the proceedings. Further info and instructions about the paper presentation and the submission of the final camera-ready version of the accepted paper will be emailed to the author(s) at the time of status/acceptance notifications. Additionally, the info of each accepted paper (including title, abstract and author names) will be posted/shared on the KCFC conference website.
- All posters need to be submitted using the KCFC EquinOCS portal: https://equinocs.springernature.com/service/kcfc2024
- The required info needed for completing a poster submission is a title and an abstract, along with the info of the poster author(s)
- No PDF or document is required to be uploaded for completing a poster submission. If the submission portal asks for a document/PDF upload, then note that is optional and can be skipped
- At the time of online submission of a poster, if the system asks "No PDF provided - Do you really want to submit?", then a poster submitter can select "Yes" and proceed with completing the submission process
- Please keep in mind that the info of the accepted posters (including title, abstract and author names) will be posted/shared on the KCFC conference website, and at least one author of each accepted poster will need to commit to presenting the poster at the KCFC event. Further info and instructions about the poster presentation will be emailed to the author(s) of the accepted poster at the time of status/acceptance notifications.
For an accepted paper to be published as part of the KCFC 2024 Conference Proceedings, at least one author/co-author of each accepted paper must register for the KCFC 2024 and must present the accepted paper at the conference event
As the host of the 4th edition of the Kentucky Cybersecurity & Forensics Conference (KCFC), Northern Kentucky University (NKU) is happy to announce that all accepted papers of KCFC 2024 will be published with Atlantis Press, part of the Springer Nature publishers, in the following proceedings series, Atlantis Highlights in Computer Sciences. All the accepted papers of the KCFC 2024 conference proceedings will be published as open access in the above mentioned Springer Nature publication platform. Last year this Atlantis Press, Springer Nature publication platform generated over 25 million full-text downloads. Reviewers are aware of the authors' identities, but authors do not know the reviewers' identities. This aims to reduce bias while ensuring a fair assessment. (Single-blind review)
Submissions are evaluated based on originality, technical quality, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the conference's scope.
All submissions must be original work that has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere. Authors should disclose any overlapping content from prior publications.
Submissions will be screened using plagiarism detection software. Any instance of plagiarism will result in rejection and possible sanctions against the authors.
Authors must clearly indicate the use of AI tools in their research and submission preparation. This includes specifying the extent of AI assistance in writing or data analysis.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Human authors are responsible for the integrity and content of the submission.
Plagiarism includes using another's work without proper citation, including text, ideas, and data. Strict measures are in place to handle detected plagiarism.
All submissions will be checked for plagiarism. If plagiarism is detected, the submission will be rejected, and authors may face further disciplinary actions.
